This project was a new 2,112 sf Homeland Security Building for processing incoming and outgoing foreign visitors to Ottawa/Erie County International Airport. Included in the project was a waiting area, security office, restrooms, inspection line, interrogation rooms, and a high security computer room. This project had many coordination challenges due to many of the customers not being local. Telamon worked with the local airport, local homeland security, and national homeland security. We met the schedule per our timeline. The value engineering that we provided for the original budget based on the architect’s drawings was over by 45%. After revising with the architect, owner, and final end user we were able to get the budget into a workable cost and finished the project on time and in budget.
